Make your voice heard on national resources to support student attendance
Friends and Colleagues,
A fuller update is on the way about all the projects going on at Civilytics and how to stay involved. But, for now, please see the note below about an important opportunity to influence the resources being developed to help states, districts, and schools improve student attendance.
Civilytics is a partner on this project and I wanted to give the education professionals among you the chance to be heard on what current needs in the field are surrounding student attendance and chronic absenteeism. See the note below and please participate if you are able:
We are interested in learning about your current efforts as well as your needs related to improving student attendance and reducing chronic absenteeism through a brief online needs sensing survey. Insight Policy Research and the American Institutes for Research operate a US Department of Education-funded national technical assistance center that provides support to States in addressing chronic absence (contract number: GS-10F-0136X). Currently, the center is conducting needs sensing activities to understand how States engage with issues related to chronic absenteeism; leverage and align existing resources and TA providers; and identify what gaps for additional TA may exist. The results from the needs sensing will support the development of future technical assistance services offered to States.
Your perspective is important to us, and we hope you will take 15-20 minutes to complete this brief online needs sensing form.
Please click here to access the needs sensing form by Friday, May 29.
If you have any questions or suggestions regarding this request, please reach out to Dana Chambers, at dchambers@insightpolicyresearch.com. Thank you for your time and consideration.
